Meri kirihimete Jinglers!

Here we are with just 3 sleeps left to go. I hope you’ve all done your groceries and finished off your Christmas shopping and are ready to put your feet up for the festive season.

We are looking forward to some quiet time for a few days after a very busy couple of months with our outside project. The new lawn has taken really well and the plants are growing like crazy and we are loving the new entrance way and driveway. It’s so nice to walk outside now without have to jump puddles.
We’ve had a few comments about our smaller Christmas light display this year but it’s hard to hang lights on no longer existent hedges and trees hahaha.
Finishing up outside has given me the time to clean up in the Sparkle Room and Shed so I’m looking forward to doing not much over the next couple of days as I’m up to date with everything.

So with that all done, I think it’s time to sign off for the year. I’d like to thank you all so very, very much for all the support you’ve given me this year, the likes, comments, messages and orders mean so much to me and are hugely appreciated.
So from me and mine, to you and yours, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year. We’ll see you back here in the New Year.

Good morning Jinglers 🥰

Gosh can you believe we have just seven sleeps left before the big day? Is it just me, or has this year positively whizzed past?

I’m in tidy mode at the moment so that I can fully enjoy the summer break without feeling guilty about things not being done. Today I’m planning on finishing getting the Sparkle Room packed away for the year and my desk cleared so I can finally get my Christmas wasgij started. I’m going to get the tree lights sparkling, and the Christmas music cranking, to fully get me motivated, and I’ll get to enjoy these gorgeous wee knitted ornaments that my lovely longtime Jingler Barbara sent me for my tree. Barbara was one of my very first customers on Felt when I started way back in 2012, so it’s fair to say how utterly grateful I am that she is still supporting my work all these years later…it’s also fair to say that Barbara’s MsMichelley collection is quite the sight to behold!

Well jinglers, I’ll leave you there for today and get the Head of Security and the Head of Mischief out for their walks in the hope I can tire them out so I can work unimpeded later 😂

Good morning Jinglers.

Gosh just think in 10 days time we’ll be waking up to see whether Santa has delivered us gifts or sacks of coal!
We had an early family Christmas on Saturday which was lovely. Lots of good food and family time made more special with the addition of our wee elf. We have had lots of Christmas dance parties in our lounge over the past few days, Jax loves a good Christmas music video and bounces like crazy in his bouncer while we boogie around him 😂

I finally got the new front entrance decorated up as well so all in all it was a very festive weekend.
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend too and are looking forward to the last full working week before Santa arrives.

Ata mārie Jinglers and welcome to 15 days to go until Christmas!!

It’s just not Christmas at our house unless a batch of Edna’s nuts is made up. This has been a tradition ever since my elderly friend Edna made me some about 20 years ago and we all went bonkers for them. Those of you who have been jinglers for a long time will have seen them before on here, some of you know how utterly dangerous they are! So for those you you who haven’t seen them before then behold the glorious crunchy, salty, sweetness that are Edna’s Nuts. They make the best presents for people who are hard to buy for or pressies for teachers, friends, neighbours. The recipe makes a large roasting dish size of nuts and for gifting I bulk them out with pretzels, choc covered almonds and I’ve added cranberries to the batch going out today. I personally love the Graze Raspberry dusted Choc almonds with them.

Just a little side note…I also add a teaspoon of ground ginger to mine because I love ginger. My nut ratio is usually a cup of peanuts, a bag of Pams Deluxe nut Mix and a cup of cashews. Easily made GF by using GF cornflakes and I’ve added GF pretzels as well.

Enjoy…just don’t come at me when you are a couple of kilos heavier after New Year 😂😂

Mōrena Jinglers, I hope you are all doing well and not freaking out about there only being 16 days til Christmas or if we really want to scare ourselves, 15 days of shopping time left 😂😂

It’s been crazy busy here at Sparkle headquarters, the outdoors project is very, very close to being finished (we aren’t counting the house painting) and this weekend should see it completed. I’ve still got to decide whether to bother with decorating the new entrance way…my heart says yes, my brain says get a grip haha.

In amongst it all I took the Head of Security and the Dark Destroyer down to the vets for a photo with Santa. Nothing like a little chaos to round off a busy week but it was so good for a giggle.

Right, it’s time to hit the pavement and get the woofs walked while it’s still nice and cool.

Good morning Jinglers and welcome to the best month of the year!!

I had a birthday yesterday and the CFO got to be surprised by the pressies I bought for him to give me. He doesn’t really get why I chose Christmas pieces for my birthday but I’m smart enough to know that giving Christmas things to me as gifts means I don’t have to feel bad about buying them 😂😂
Loving my new FCC pieces and my new Lego Elf keychain.

The woofers are very excited to be wearing their new Christmas collars and think their food tastes pretty good in their new Christmas bowls.

To top it all off I got to bring out the prank that just keeps on giving year after year…yup it’s Christmas duvet time and we all know how much the CFO loves to sleep with visions of sugar plums dancing in his head 😂😂😂

Good morning Jinglers 🤗

We are down to dribs and drabs in the Felt shop now and I’d like to say thank you so much to everyone who made a purchase this year and kept this little elf happy and humbled by your support. I’m not going to be replenishing at this stage of the year. My right hand is a complete mess (which makes a change from my right arm…lifting a chunky puppy for the last 3 months has built up my arm strength haha), so am trying to rest it up a bit before tackling the rest of the house painting. I’ll hit the physio once all thats done and try and get it back into ship shape order ready for next year.

While I’m talking about my Felt store, how did everyone feel about shopping through it this year. Would love your feed back to help me to decide how to do things next year. I’m going to be away for a large chunk of October next year so really need to know whether to sell through Felt again or whether to do a smaller range and pre order through here as has been done for the last few years. There are pro’s and con’s to both for me. Selling through Felt allows me creative freedom but boy those POS fees hurt. Pre orders are great as I know exactly how many of each thing I have to make, but I do get quite stressed trying to get them all done before November 1st (hence a smaller and more manageable range given I will be away for 3 weeks from mid October).
Like I say I’d really appreciate your honest feedback.

Good morning Jinglers, I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. Can you believe that it’s exactly a month until Christmas Eve 😳🎄🎄🎄

Another busy one at Sparkle HQ with more painting being done, chores, hedge trimming at Mum and Dad’s and I finally got my little lounge tree decorated. I’m loving how it turned out and I’m really enjoying my pared back Christmas decor this year. I still have to keep and eye on the DD as he has shown interest in some of the foliage on the tree but hasn’t tried to pull anything off it yet.

I’m going to try and clean up the mess that is in the Sparkle Room this week and make some room for working on my Christmas Wasgij’s although how I think I’ll be doing jigsaws with a puppy running around is laughable. His favourite thing to do at the moment is launch himself from a distance while I’m sitting on the couch and then try to suffocate me whilst demanding cuddles. I have to check my ears after each attack as he’s pulled my earrings out a few times lately and trying to retrieve them is quite the gooby experience.

It’s Friday Jinglers!! Another week pretty much done and dusted and we are fast approaching the one month until Christmas mark.

It’s been a busy week here at Sparkle HQ with our concrete guys getting the driveway prepped and our lawn guru getting the irrigation all set ready for the turf to be laid. The DD has been busy making confetti from any piece of paper or cardboard he can find…I’m tempted to buy a few rolls of really cheap loo paper to put in our bathrooms just for him to destroy because he is costing me a fortune with his Paseo habit 🤦🏼‍♀️ Lochie just shrugs his shoulders and looks at me as if to say “well you kept him, so that’s the price you pay”.
After all the noise of machinery and the constant vacuuming, it was so nice to sink into the comfy chairs of The Nail Studio yesterday and let the lovely Sandy work her magic. I’m quite proud to say I was the first Christmas nails client of the year 😂
Well I had better sign off as we are off to Hamilton soon for the CFO’s eye check up and there are two woofers that need walking before they go to their grandparents for a day stay.

Mōrena Jinglers, how is your week going?

I may not have a tree up but I’ve still been busy decorating areas that the dark destroyer can’t reach ( the glass cloches are probably going to be covered in dog nose by the end of the week because the dark destroyer is quite the snoop 🤦🏼‍♀️).

I’m hoping my small tree arrives in the next day or two though because while I’m enjoying the more subdued vibe this year, I do still need a tree up.
How is everyone else’s decorating going? I need to see pics of trees and decor displays to get me through not having two big trees up…help this elf keep her fomo under control and send them through ###

Ata mārie Jinglers, I hope you’ve all had a great week!!

I’m sorry for being absent so much lately, life has been crazy busy with the outside project in full swing. All the amazing weather last week saw us get the majority of the front of our house painted and the first new garden planted up. The driveway work is supposed to start on Monday and the lawn next week some time too.

We took last Sunday off to have some family fun with the Elf…the little ratbag posed nicely with us but turned on the charm for sure once he had the camera all to himself 😂😂. Another busy week this week catching up on the neglected inside chores, family staying and the CFO had eye surgery on Wednesday. His recovery instructions are to rest up and no heavy lifting so we are catching our breath and recharging. The spare time gave me the chance to finally start Christmas decorating and it was so nice to just potter around filling my new tray.
