99.9% of the time I know NZ is the best place to live....except when wishing we could get up of a Saturday morning and regularly go to something like the London Art Fair.....Photographing was allowed, even encouraged, so went mad snapping the weird and wonderful from the floors and floors of gorgeousness....have just generally posted the ones I have artist names for or part pictures as not sure about the rules of republishing...so not necessarily favourites. These are mostly contemporary artists, but many are old works the galleries are selling. Nothing under many thousands of pounds, sadly.

The next selection of colours in Marianne's artfully decorated vintage lab stools.....gorgeous work! Stools all newly powder coated red by Conrad. Remember Last Chintz & Co. opens again on Saturday 10th of January if you want to see them in person! Slight amendment to earlier price....smaller ones in another colour were $75 each....these are about $95...amazing price for a piece of unique art.

Possibly of interest to some... this city is a fascinating mix of art and desolation, beauty and past - anger. Photo I'm in is along the East Gallery which is a preserved nearly 2km strip of the Berlin wall, was the interior of the old East Berlin. International artists decorated it in 1990 to celebrate the new freedom. I don't think the part I'm looking at is the highlight :).... The streetlamps in one of the photos are in front of the Jewish museum which is an incredible building.

Marianne has finished the art work on these vintage lab stools that have been newly powder coated. Stunning work! The front one has sold but rest, and probably some others with a red base. will be in store at Last Chintz & Co. when it reopens on the January 10th.

RE: Pictured pieces that feature on the 'In the Shops' page of At Home in The Press, this Wednesday.... that was organised before going away...so these pieces have sold - as have much of what had been created to last the summer,but please see the web link to see what furniture is left (although think floral chair on hold or sold)...but the very talented Marianne and Conrad are likely to have any spare space filled with their clever creations....including some furniture. Lots of new furniture on its way.....five chairs nearly finished at the upholsterer's, and there's also sideboards, desk, stools, glory box etc..Heading away again for the summer months so stocking up. These two are likely to end up for sale in the gift shop at thestore@taitapu

If you're looking for shopping or road trip destinations there is a list of my (and probably your) favourite shops to visit on a blog someone said they read about us on (see link below). I checked it out and it is really well curated one. See the pictures and links on the 12 August entry. Spending a day....or longer.... checking out these places, with good coffee in between, sounds great. Really keen to get to The White Elephant in Cheviot. Thanks Clare
