Need your knives sharpening for BBQ season. I am a Rakaia based professional knife sharpener and can guarantee your knives will come back to you as sharp or sharper than when you bought them for just $5 per knife, turnover time is very quick (approximately 30 minutes for 5-10 knives, depending how blunt they are). I use ceramic sanding belts so are fine for all types of steel including Stainless, Damascus and high carbon. Unfortunately I do not sharpen serrated knives. Send me a message if you are keen. I have some kitchen knives for sale.
1. Pairing knife. g10, curly beech and swamp Matai handle $40
2. Veggie cleaver $50
3. General purpose kitchen knife $130.

1,2 and 3 can be sold as a set for $180

4. Veggie Cleaver, cherry beech, copper and antler handle $75
5. Mini Santoku, puriri, antler and copper handle $75
6. General purpose kitchen knife, copper, bird's eye and antler handle $200
4,5 and 6 can be sold as a set for $300.

The kitchen knives have an approx blade length of 17cm, the cleavers/pairing/Santoku blade lengths are 10-12cm.

All knives were handmade from recycled mill blades or crosscut saws and all have been heat treated to 58-63.

This was a first for me and a very fun build. 10" edge butchers knife. I used the hardest wood I have(puriri) and g20 for the handle as the knife is for a professional butcher and will get alot of use. Retails at $220 plus postage, if you want one or something similar get in touch.

Hey all, just a reminder that I offer a knife sharpening service out of Rakaia, so if you're in Canterbury and need your knives tickled up before BBQ season and Xmas then send me a message. It's $5 per knife no matter how blunt they are, very quick turnover time and you'll get them back as sharp or sharper than when you bought them.
