I have two leather workshops on offer in the upcoming school holidays. One in Auckland and one north in Maungaturoto. The Maungaturoto Edible Village project have kindly subsidized the Maungaturoto workshop making it even more affordable for families out that way! These holiday workshops always fully book out, so if you're keen, get in quick!

I am in awe of the beautiful bags that were created this weekend.

My cup feels so full after the last two days spent chatting and crafting with the loveliest and most creative bag making crew, in Gisborne. Thank you to everyone that came, bringing their exciting ideas, infectious enthusiasm and yummy kai!

What a joyful and magical winter solstice it has been!

I had my fairy god daughters come and stay recently, for their birthday craft party sleepover! They stayed in my tiny house and I set them up making these cute leather wallets in there.

They asked if they could get up in the night and keep crafting if they wanted to.. (like I do 😂) and I told them sure but only if they could convince me they knew exactly what they were doing. They were so focused on this dream they had already made two wallets each before bedtime and could perfectly recite the entire order of processes and answer my questions, so I had to say yes 😂🤦🏼‍♀️😂

Thankfully they did sleep through the night! But by the time I woke up in the morning they were up and had already finished another one each and were so very chuffed with themselves ☺️☺️

Creating with our hands brings so much joy. Watching these two friends help each other to learn new skills and get creative together whilst laughing and giggling for hours and hours was delightful.

We had an awesome work do with the Wairoa Vet Clinics team at the Mahia Pub on Sunday. So beautiful to see such close workmates creating together and having a blast with a beer in the sun.

A technique I've only recently started playing with is imprinting leaves onto leather...

Imagine how excited I was when this lovely lady brought a big fern leaf to a 2 day bag making workshop and asked if she could somehow incorporate that into her bag!

This second bag was made by a very talented 15 year old who also turned up with a giant leaf and a vision of turning it into a bag.

What a beautiful few days guiding these ladies to craft their dream handbags into existence!

This was a perfect Autumn day in Ashhurst. A lovely weekend spent crafting in the sunshine with an awesome bunch of very creative adults.

I am in awe of the beautiful designs and dye jobs on these clutches!

And very much want to try making one of those boxes!
