There have been some big changes at the Dudley's Cottage Precinct in the last few weeks and our family of local businesses has grown. 'The Barn' - the stunning new building designed by local architect Maurice Orr and built by Lakeside Design and Build - is now complete!

Downstairs is the newly opened 'The Dishery' restaurant with bistro dining from 8am. Specialising in locally sourced fresh food and wine with inside and garden seating adjacent to the Arrow River Reserve. Breakfast, lunch and late afternoon grazing/sunset supper. Opening soon upstairs in The Barn will be an exciting addition to the Arrowtown community in the form of a shared office space - 'The Coop' https://utilitynz.co.nz/the-coop/.

The gift shop is not currently operational and Better By Bike have expanded into both historic cottages and continue to offer the best bike hire experience in the basin.

Jenny Mehrtens Art Studio and Honey & Cocoa in The Shed on the south side of the property round out our little precinct community. We are all looking forward to seeing some of you this summer!

YES our gift shop is open tomorrow Saturday 21st, 11am to 3pm with lots of great reductions as we clear stock for our new development.

A big thank you to all our customers who have popped in to support our clearance sale over the last few weeks. It has been lovely to see and chat with you and help you find your Christmas gifts.

We have had to change our opening hours slightly over the next few weeks, please see the revised days and times below.

Still heaps of bargains to be found, we look forward to seeing you instore!

Rainy day shopping day 🌧️🛍️ Our sale continues at our gift shop today open 11-3pm. All Tumbleweed Tees are just $20 (down from $49.95), Surmanti Treatment Peel is now $15 and we have a couple of the gorgeous Nature Baby Frida Pinafore still in stock at $25. Crazy prices, you'd be crazy not to pop in and see what you can find!

It's exciting times here at Dudley's Cottage!⁠

On Tuesday, work will begin on a significant construction and restoration project. This work will future proof this important heritage listed and protected feature.⁠
⁠
At the rear of the property behind Dudley’s Cottage, a new building will house our café with boutique office space on Level 2. After extensive consultation with, and input from, Heritage New Zealand, the Department of Conservation and the Arrowtown Planning Advisory Group, we are excited to be underway on physical works.⁠
⁠
Mark and Adele (Dudley’s Cottage managers from last summer) have set up their own coffee and food venture in the front of Dudleys so be sure to pop down and say hi and support them this summer. They will also be renting out gold panning equipment.⁠

We will open the retail shop 11am to 3pm every Saturday (and only Saturday) until Christmas for a not to be missed clearance sale on existing stock so be sure to come down to grab a bargain!⁠

We look forward to welcoming our local and visiting clientele back to our beloved corner of Arrowtown in the Spring of 2020 to our new venture.⁠

That's a wrap everyone! We are now officially closed for the winter. A HUGE thank you to everyone who supported us this summer and we look forward to seeing you again in spring! We are planning on opening again in September and the exact date will be advertised closer to the time.⁣
