BSA's Spitfire MKII Special for 1966, wow! I've had many Bonneville's but the Spitfires specs are amazing: twin GP carbs, alloy rims, hot cams, high comp pistons, large full width front drum plus brake shoes. A real British hot-rod!

And the race is on! HONDA vs HONDA: QA50 vs Z50. The QA has a 2-speed box and for 1974 the Z has rear suspension and 3 speed box. The Z50 was continuously in production from 1968 to 2017 nearly 50 years, perhaps the longest model run of any motorcycle out of Japan.

1974 and YAMAHA's off road range all get new nomenclature, it's all DT's now. The DT125 sporty, light and peppy.

SUZUKI's RE5 Rotary for 1976, gone is the futuristic styling, replaced by the GT750 instruments etc. producing a classic looking steed.

Well that's hard to explain. Perhaps they were short of secure parking?

The rider suffered serious injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. The driver of the car was uninjured.

SUZUKI goes 4-valve with the1980 GSX750 (top) and GSX1100 (below). Visually not much to differentiate them, although the 1100 motor does certainly fill the gap better! Powerhouse muscle bike bikes of the day and interestingly still labeled GS (minus the X) for the USA market.
