This is the first "taster" event for not only the Fantasy Fundraising Ball set for October next year, but it's also a chance to support some of the locals in charge of hosting this event.
Dress up, visit the Te Ruru Okato Coastal Community Market at the Hempton Hall, spend some money, support some locals, see what the Fantasy Ball is all about and perhaps even offer to join the "Not Committee" Committee...

13 months out from our very first Fantasy Fundraising Ball and we are getting excited!

Our first "Demo Night" is planned for Wednesday 29th October 2025. We plan to showcase some of our already prepared themed Fantasy Tables. Six of 13 tables have been sponsored and we need YOUR help to decorate the rest.

We do still need MORE sponsors so if you are keen to help us make this Ball spectacular, message us via this page, or text 027 2596223 for further details or other sponsorship options.

The AMAZING Sonja Barrett from XBX Insurance has sponsored our Photo Booth!
Decorations for the foyer have been secured.
The Hall hire has been sponsored too (anonymously - but we know who you are and we are thankful)!

We do require food and beverage sponsors as well as lighting (Batteries by the dozen are needed!!!), and hosting assistance on the night. If you wish to be part of this wonderful team, come along to Hempton Hall on Wednesday 29th October at 6:30 to show your interest...

After being given the gift of time yesterday with the Okato Community Market being cancelled, I got to experimenting with a savoury option for those of you who keep telling me you are staying away from sugar for whatever reasons...
I have made up a mix of all sorts (NOT licorice this time). There's crunchy bits of yum stuff as well as nuts and pretzels. This mix will be available for a limited time and will debut this weekend at Momo Toi in Okato.
Please let me know what you think, or if you wish to stop by at The Gingerbread House to get yours today - I'll be there from 10-2.

We won't be at Hempton Hall today, but you just might find my goodies in Okato's newest project. Momo Toi. Opening on Friday beside the roundabout from 6-8pm.

Or take a road trip to Waverley Craft and Farmers Market and find us there on Sunday.

Due to other exciting projects happening in our Community, we have had to cancel todays market to make way for representatives of the sub division on Carthew Street to come in and showcase what they have to offer our Village.

Come along tomorrow evening (Thursday 18th) from 5:30pm and see whats happening... See you there.
