A little Wild Blooms news šŸŒæ

Our next delivery is getting closer, and along with a restock of Wild Blooms, weā€™re adding two new options to the range, King pillowcase pairs and European pillowcases.

We know the little details matter when youā€™re putting a bed together, so weā€™re really pleased to be able to offer more ways to mix, match and layer this much loved botanical print.

Pre-orders will be opening soon, with stock arriving not too far behind.

Will linen make my bedroom look too casual?

Not at all. In fact, we think that beautiful balance between relaxed and refined is part of linenā€™s charm.

French flax linen has a natural texture and softness that makes a bedroom feel welcoming rather than overly styled. Layer it with a statement botanical print, complementary tones and natural textures, and it can feel every bit as considered as more formal bedding, just with a little more ease.

And thereā€™s no need to iron out every crease. Those gentle variations are part of linenā€™s character and what gives a bed that inviting, lived-in look.

You may have seen the OEKO-TEXĀ® STANDARD 100 label on our linen, but do you know what it means?

Itā€™s an independent textile certification involving testing against a wide range of regulated and potentially harmful substances.

Our certification is Product Class I, the strictest of the four STANDARD 100 product classes, with requirements designed for products used by babies and young children.

For something like bed linen, which spends so much time directly against our skin, we think thatā€™s worth knowing. šŸ¤

Weā€™ve explained a little more about what the certification means in todayā€™s post, because understanding what goes into the textiles we bring into our homes is just as important as choosing something beautiful.

One of my favourite things is seeing Aspen & Fern linen in your homes. šŸ¤

No two bedrooms ever look the same. Some are beautifully styled, some are cosy and layered, some have dogs curled up on the bed and others have children making themselves at home.

And thatā€™s exactly how it should be.

Our French flax linen is designed to be lived with, slept in, washed, loved and made completely your own.

Looking for a little weekend baking inspiration?

I've just added my old-fashioned boiled fruit cake recipe to The Journal.

It's moist, packed with dried fruit and warm spices, and wonderfully uncomplicated. There's no overnight soaking, everything starts in one saucepan, and you don't need to be too particular about the cake tin either.

And if you discover halfway through that you've run out of brown sugar, as I did, raw sugar works just fine.

A lovely one to make this weekend, enjoy with a cup of tea and savour a slow moment.
