Every year at Christmas our family dust off this beautiful hand-made gold Turkish dish that we put cherries in for our special breakfast. It takes pride of place in the middle of the table and after breakfast we reverently move the dish into the lounge where we spend a leisurely morning opening gifts and eating cherries. Late last year our youngest daughter, Ashley, put something on top of this di

sh and it broke. Steve and I looked all over the country for a replacement, before we took our search overseas. We did manage to find one in Russia but we were unable to acquire it. But then, I came home one day to find out Steve had found one and he had bought it over in Tauranga, of all places. The dish arrived a few days later and harmony had been restored. Christmas was back to normal. It did get me thinking though.....about how much we pay for those beautiful pieces that make special occasions that much more special or those treasures that we use everyday that make that morning cup of coffee taste that much better. That seed of an idea has turned into this online store.
