A Stitch Witches appreciation post for this lovely lady.

She moved quickly from witch in training to boss witch when she looked after the shop for us while we played in Melbourne.

Thank you for your support and for amusing us with messages while we were away.

You're a star Trevena ⭐❤️

Day 5 (&6)
Our last day of the Quilt Show and Sue L spent an enjoyable couple of hours quilting this fantastic Zebra panel on a Bernina Q20. The time flew by and it was hard to get her off the Q20!

We spent some time leisurely viewing all the quilts on display. Such a lot to see.

These are a selection of a few, it was hard to pick photos, there are so many spectacular ones!
Including Sue L 's Aunt-in-laws one (Generations of hands together).

In the evening we wandered along the river and had dinner. Before packing our bags and squeezing everything in to travel home.

Day 6

We were up early and off for a long day of travelling home. Tired but happy!

We've been so lucky to see so many amazing sights and products and talk to some very lovely people. What a fabulous trip we've had.

Happy to be home again now!

Day 4 of our adventures saw us mooch along to the show and arrive around 12.

We met Sugy Kim as the guest exhibitor on Bernina Australia's stand. Her work is mesmerising.
Foundation piecing tiny pieces incredibly accurately. Her work is stunning.

The 3 of us had signed up for a class to make a fat quarter basket. It was fun trying a cutting machine and heat press for the first time and then sewing them up.

Later we caught up with Glyn from Bernina Australia, we have known him since we started the shop, as he was Glyn from Bernina New Zealand then.

We tried to view the Quilt Exhibition again today and managed to see only a small section of quilts because we ran out of time again. I'm not saying we talk too much, but there's so many people to talk to.

In the evening 2 witches flew to the Warriors game and joined 26000+ other people to cheer on the Warriors. They had an excellent game and won convincingly. Up the wahs!

Tomorrow is our last day. We're planning on finally seeing all of the Quilt Exhibition! Plus chatting to some more people. Still plenty to keep us occupied!

Day 3 our adventures and we went a little off script!

Months ago we booked tickets to the Westwood/Kawakubo show at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV).

So we set off to that.
What an amazing exhibition. We spent a very enjoyable 3 hours amazed at the clothes, techniques and display of so many of the pieces.

After a yummy lunch where Sue E tried an Australian pie to compare with ours (lovely pastry).

We then took a train out to The Embroidery Den where we chatted with the lovely owner and her daughter (equally as lovely).

After more stash enhancement we decided to head to the AQS to view some quilts.

Unfortunately, we ran out of time so we continued with a spot of retail therapy at an outlet centre, Donna rejuvenated with a mani/pedi. While another witch found some gorgeous new dresses to bring home.

We finished the evening with dumplings and bao in one of the lanes off Flinders St.
They were yummy 😋

We're excited to check out the display of Quilts tomorrow.

Day 2 of our adventures and wow! What a day.

We spent most of the day at the Quilt show.
It took us the whole day to get around the merchant mall.
Some shopping may have been done.

We met Sue E's daughter and had a quick and yummy tea. Pad Thai's all around before we hot footed it to The Book of Mormon where we added a couple of Sue L's friends. It was hilarious.

We then had dessert at Bingsoo which was delicious and refreshing.

Home to make some more plans and look through our haul.

If you guessed we were travelling to Melbourne you are correct!

If that wasn't your guess we'd love to know where you thought we were going (you could give us some ideas).

We're here for the Australian Quilt Convention (AQC) which starts tomorrow.

So today we did some sight seeing. We're looking forward to tomorrow's sight seeing of a slightly different nature. I can't wait to see the quilts and of course the merchants mall!
