Meet the Fleet: Clyde's Conventional Bike 🚲

Our conventional hire bikes are .nz Big 9 200, these are a rider's bike, focused on capability, confidence and versatility. They have 29" wheels and tyres with a 120mm fork for even more confidence, stability and comfort for the smoothest of rides.

With the Cues 1 x 10 wide range drive train, it keeps shifting simple and extremely reliable. They have puncture resistant tyres, hydraulic brakes and high spec Shimano componentry.

We say that the colour is "Central Otago Pinot Noir" and we've had fantastic feedback from those who have ridden the Merida Big 9 200s already.

Throwback Thursday! For almost 13 years, Bike It Now! has been 100% locally owned and operated.

Originally a smaller Clyde-based Bike Hire and Cycle Tour Business, Bike It Now! expanded to include a full workshop and retail in 2013. In 2019, we then opened our second retail store in Cromwell in The Mall, followed by our third retail store opening in Three Parks, Wanaka in 2022. Our Cromwell branch then moved to a brand new build in front of The Gate Hotel.

Over the years, we have provided great tours with the best rental bikes, alongside our Bike & Accessories retail and workshops. All to ensure everyone has the best Central Otago experience.

With more and more cycle trails being built in and around the region, we are excited to see what the next 13 years brings!

If you're interested in riding the Lake Dunstan Trail this Winter, we are operating everyday through winter and would love to help! ❄️🚲

We have a shuttle leaving our Clyde at 10:00am and 3:30pm, taking you through to Cromwell. Please note that these shuttles need to be prebooked 24 hours in advance.

We can shuttle you and your own bike from Clyde to Cromwell for $50 per person. Otherwise if you’d like to hire a bike to ride the Lake Dunstan Trail, call us on 0800 245 366 and chat to the bike team to lock it in.

Did you know that every single one of our multiday tours automatically includes a donation for the trail you’re riding?

For the Otago Central Rail Trail, everyone is given an interactive passport where you match the stickers to the corresponding station sites along the way.

For the Roxburgh Gorge & Clutha Gold Trail, the tags act as a trail pass, and for the Lake Dunstan Trail, a magnet is included.

The money for each of these go directly to the Trail Trusts for maintenance of the trails and enhancement projects so others can continue enjoy it for years to come.

Bike It Now! and Mountain Biking Otago have collaborated to present the 22nd annual Naseby MTB Challenge. This is the 2nd year of the new 3-hour and 6-hour races format.

We’ve crafted a 10 km loop encompassing water races, single tracks, and 4WD tracks winding through Naseby Forest and Naseby Holiday Park, catering to riders of all skill levels!

The Naseby Challenge isn’t just about racing; it’s a social affair. Picture a tent village where the track weaves through and past your setup.

The aim? Over 3-6 hours, ride as many laps as possible, with the individual or team completing the most laps crowned as winners. Rally your friends and secure your spot early, as entries for solos and teams are limited this year! Entries close on April 14th at 7pm, unless race limits are reached earlier, in which case wait-lists will be implemented.
