This position has now been filled. Thank you to all the applicants.

We are hiring for a permanent position as a shop assistant here at Balclutha Bookshop! This position will involve working around 30 hours per week, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. It involves working across all areas of the store, including the postshop and the Lotto counter.

We are looking for someone who is honest, reliable, customer focused, efficient, and able to work well under pressure. Standard computer skills are required. A background in accounts, banking or merchandising would be advantageous.

A criminal record check and credit check will be undertaken upon acceptance of employment.
