He takes pride in a job well done and charges reasonable prices. Since he’s been involved in repair work, he has become a household name to many well known South African Artists. I did an interesting repair last week: One of the tuning mashienes on a gibson had a bump, and the back casing broke of. The new one's are vintage spec. The original ones were modern 10 mm.

🎸 Big news from The Fret Shop – we’re on the move! 🚚

After strumming away in Silverdale, we’re packing up our strings and picks and heading to Redvale (just off East Coast Road) on 10 & 11 September.

⚠️ Heads-up: the shop will be closed from Mon 8 Sept to Fri 12 Sept while we wrestle amps, guitars, and probably a few tangled cables. 🎶

But don’t fret (pun fully intended) – we’ll be back, tuned up and ready to go in our new space from Saturday 13 Sept, 10am–2pm.

Thanks for sticking with us during the move – we can’t wait to welcome you to the new spot and keep the music alive! 🎵

Working on getting better with detail. Still a long road. Not for perfection, but rather my journey to what I can be.

It looks like clamp day, but no. I am heating and cooling down the neck stips to stabilize the different pieces before gluing them, maybe next week. It's a long way to stabilize wood. We are blessed with too much rain. Island life.

Neck will be glued up with several pieces of flat sawn Rock maple, quarter sawn soft maple, and African black wood.
