We're stoked to showcase one of our recent projects and definitely one to remember for all the good reasons.

This one was for the lovely Art and Matilda, a full home tiling package covering two bathrooms, a laundry, kitchen splashback and kitchen island. We worked closely with them on layouts, tile placements and grout selections to make sure everything came together just right.

They were genuinely some of the best clients we've had the pleasure of working with, and Art keeping Peter fuelled with three coffees a day certainly helped!

Most issues we see on site don't start with bad tiles or bad workmanship. They start with decisions that came too late.

By the time we're on site, layouts have been looked at in pieces, trades haven't had a shared brief, and the window for simple changes has closed. A tile size adjustment can affect a drainage fall. A layout shift can misalign with plumbing. What felt like a small call becomes a permanent compromise.

Getting us involved early changes that. Decisions made before work begins cost nothing to adjust.

Every builder knows the feeling. Something goes wrong on site and suddenly the tile shop is blaming the layer, and the layer is blaming the shop and you're stuck in the middle chasing two separate businesses while the job stalls.

Bathrooms are one of those spaces where the small decisions usually end up making the biggest difference.

Most issues don’t come from the tiles themselves. They come from rushed planning, late selections, poor set-outs, or trades trying to work around decisions that were made too late in the process.

Something as simple as changing tile sizes can affect drainage falls, waterproofing, plumbing locations, or how the entire room lines up visually once everything’s installed.

That’s why we always push for these conversations early.

The best bathrooms usually aren’t the ones with the most expensive finishes. They’re the ones where the planning was thought through properly from the beginning, from tile layouts and set-outs right through to waterproofing and floor preparation.
