We need more hands! Do you have time to help us help others?
We are on the lookout for more volunteers to join our small, but wonderful team. There are plenty of ways to help, we can work with many availabilities and capabilities.
At the top of our wish list is more people to work in our lovely little shop. Shifts are 3 hours long, and regularity could be weekly, fortnightly or monthly. We are especially on the lookout for people for Wednesdays & Thursdays, but people available on other days would be just as welcome, as we’d love to extend our opening hours!
Not everyone has the time or capability to work a shop shift, but we have a variety of tasks that can be done occasionally, whether regularly scheduled (e.g. monthly) or ad hoc as needed. This could include things like counting puzzles, measuring things like sheets or fabric remnants, preparing stock for sale online, taking rubbish to the tip or a doing trip to the rag bins. Some of these can be done onsite or at home over a week or two.
Community and sustainability is at the heart of what we do. We have helping people & redistributing resources since 1991. Last year we donated funds to five different charities and donated goods to four other charities.
