Why my pottery is exclusive to markets 🤍

Pottery is my playground: I make what I enjoy, share what I love, and have fun along the way. Every piece is hand-made — either wheel-thrown or hand-built — one-of-a-kind, and created purely for the joy of making.

After years of doing too much at work and in sport, I needed to slow down. That’s why I don’t do commissions, sell online, ship, or mass-produce. All that pressure takes the fun (and therapy) out of creating.

Keeping it small and slow is why my work is exclusive to markets — each piece stays unique, and every cent goes back into supplies and my studio.

I love the energy at markets — the gypsy-like vibe, being surrounded by other makers, and chatting with customers who come for the same sense of creativity and connection.

And if a few of my pieces find a new home along the way? That’s the cherry on top. 💛

Happy Cups – Sunspill Series ☀️🌈

These were made purely for the joy of it.
Layering colour, letting the glazes do their thing… no rules, just feeling.
Each one came out completely unique — soft drips, unexpected blends, little moments you couldn’t plan even if you tried.
I took them to my last market and they sold out on day one… which honestly still makes me smile.
So I’m making more.
Because we all need a bit of colour, warmth, and everyday joy — even if it’s just in the cup you reach for each morning.

Introducing the Te Tai Series 🌊

Te Tai, where the tide or the sea in te reo Māori.

These pieces were inspired by the quiet moment where water meets land — deep ocean blues flowing into soft sandy textures. Each glaze shift is a little different, like the tide itself.

This small collection includes a serving platter, two large bowls perfect for shared dishes, and a long serving dish — made for gathering food and people around the table.

As always, every piece is handmade and one of a kind.

Inspired by wind-shaped sand dunes and coastal light, Onepuke speaks to places where land and sea quietly meet.
