This is a great initiative from Auckland City Council.
Get a free native tree seedling and help green up Auckland.
Native trees are great for birds and wildlife, they help restrict flood damage and can make our city relisient to climate change.

During the month of June everyone can get a free native plant from participating nurseries, along with helpful planting advice.
The goal is to increase Aucklands tree canopy coverage from 18% to 30%.
We can do this if we all plant one seedling.

So get planting a native tree in your garden.
And make our beautiful city lush, green and alive with birdsong.

This is a fantastic initiative from Auckland City Council.
Get a free native tree seedling and help green up our city.

These gorgeous wee dolls stand at about 13cms tall.
Each one is lovingly hand made by Nicole from wooden pegs, recycled woollen blankets, paua, harakeke nd pounamu.
Every doll is slightly different.

We've just received some beautiful Macrocarpa wooden chopping boards.
They are made of laminated Macrocarpa and are beautiful and practical, great for chopping, prepping and presenting food.
Wooden chopping boards are known for their durability, natural antibacterial properties, and ability to preserve knife edges. And they do not shed microplastics like plastic boards can.
These are reasonably priced and make a great made in NZ gift.

It is International Burger Day today so burgers are on the menu.
Come to Ponsonby for all your burger cravings to be satiated.

Ponsonburger happens along Ponsonby Road (and beyond) with 38 eateries creating their own take on a delicious burger.
Classic and nostalgic burgers to the really wacky left of field burgers are all being made and devoured on the strip.
Breakfast burgers, lunch time buns and baos to nostalgic burgers and even ones you can have for pudding.
Cambodian burgers, ceasar chicken, smokey, Canadian, Kaimoana, short rib, wagyu beef, vegan, vegetarian and pescatarian offerings - something for everyone.

So if you don't feel like cooking this long weekend come to Ponsonby and try some of the amazing burgers on offer.
