Taking it back to the days when we posted pictures of one great dress, one beautiful wrap and one stunning pair of sunglasses and just allow them to have their moment. One of the things I don’t enjoy about social media is the emphasis on having a very exciting social life where you post a carousel of all of your highlights of the past week or month. What if you’ve just been working, having early nights, eating well, studying and taken up an exercise program? More on that to come x so this is my challenge to myself to show up wearing what I love and not feel any sense of obligation to have been social. It’s about understanding the seasons in life and honoring that x my beautiful dress is wrap is from sunglasses shoes and tights vintage

Last chance to join The Style Club for Autumn/Winter today as we start tomorrow and once we begin the doors close and the six week experience begins.

A wee note for anyone who is watching me and my membership group to see its success or simply watching out of interest as maybe you are selling something similar or have a small business x I encourage you to keep going right until the doors close. Many women in business get the ick around sales and especially when selling themselves, don’t let that be you! Reframe it into I am serving, not selling. When we come from a place of service it makes it so much easier. Don’t let the fear of what others think stop you from promoting something you know is going to change lives.

As you can see from the testimonials from past and present Style Club members this is life changing for some. For others it is strategic shopping and for many it’s a place to refine, evolve and explore their love of fashion and style.

I can’t stop and I won’t stop highlighting the style club to you right up until the last minute as I know the wellbeing and confidence that women gain when they live fully connected to their personal style.

See you in the club ladies x here is the link to join

A beautiful experience yesterday viewing the Autumn Winter collection called Reverie which is a quiet expression of retreat and resilience. The collection was refined and explored some of nature’s finest tones. For me it was the Hunter Green as seen on beautiful and I loved the toffee as seen in our bag off photo - it feels softer than a bright tan and a little more effortless when it comes to styling options. An opportunity to pause and enjoy fine company and beautiful craftsmanship was a welcome treat in a busy week x thank you

I had a wonderful question today at an event and it was “who is in The Style Club, what type of woman?” and I understand the intrigue as it’s a private, boutique community and that’s how we like it! The women are all so different and that’s the real beauty of the community. We come together from all over New Zealand and Australia to explore and evolve our style and to shop strategically. Proximity is powerful and being connected to this body of work is very liberating and empowering. If you would like to be part of this community for the autumn/winter season we have added some more numbers on the website for those who have been unable to join due to being sold out. I look forward to seeing you in the club x here is the link to join https://staceybeatson.com/the-style-club/

This isn’t a defence of social media. We are living in a time where many thoughtful, intelligent women are quietly stepping away. And I understand why. Visibility can feel exposing. The noise can feel relentless. The criticism can feel personal. But social media itself is neutral. It is a tool.
And in business, it is an extraordinary one.
For many of us, it is the modern storefront. The portfolio. The place where our work can be seen in public. Traditional media is no longer the gateway it once was. If we want reach, connection and growth we can build it here. But beyond strategy, there is something much more precious and more human , Community.
I have been here for over a decade. I have watched women evolve, rebuild, reinvent. I have received messages that begin with “I don’t know who else to ask..” and that alone tells me this space still matters.
There is very little visible representation tor womer 50+ navigating style, confidence and a changing bodies particularly here in New Zealand. And yet the need is undeniable. Yes Social media can be toxic, but it can also be creative and connective. And it definitely can be generous.
It depends on how we use it, boundaries are essential, block freely, and take breaks when you need too.
But I for one will not disappear simply because visibility makes others uncomfortable.
Someone needs to see what is possible.
Someone needs encouragement.
Someone needs permission to stay visible too.
I’m no social media expert in any way but I have counseled a couple of women on this lately who are exhausted with the whole thing x I get it x but please take a break, don’t leave x We do not have to perform here (unless you want too then go for it), but we can lead here and have impact.
And when used intentionally, this space can uplit, educate and empower in ways traditional platforms never could.
I am staying x not because I have too, because i want too x and because the season in life and my energy allows it at this time. Thank you for sharing this journey with me and letting me get this off my chest
