We stock Silk Georgette and Silk Crepe De Chine in a range of colours. Polyester Chiffon and Crepe in classic colours and a classic twill weave shirting cloth from Soktas in Turkey. We also specialise in linings, from classic Viscose twill linings to fancy prints and jacquards. We have an indent division of our business where we offer a larger range of high end fabrics, on a cut length basis. This offering comes from Dormeuil in Paris, Soktas in Turkey and Davisha in Melbourne, where we airfreight in the exact meterage of a cloth which you desire. Dormeuil is primarily wool based cloths and other luxurious fibres from around the world, designed in Paris and manufactured in England. Soktas design and manufacture high end shirting fabrics, made of Egyptian cotton, linen, wool and cashmere, produced in Turkey. Davisha are a fabric merchant based in Melbourne, primarily wools, they purchase a selection of the best cloths from around the world, there are many designs, something to suit everyone. Zips
We offer invisible zips and dress zips ( # 3 coil) in a range of colours and lengths. Please visit out website to view these or visit our showroom. Buttons
Our stock button range focuses on providing classic, timeless, high quality buttons, produced in natural materials such as horn, corozo, mother of Pearl and metal. For dyeable buttons we offer a dye service to match the buttons to your fabric, the lead time this is approximately 3 days. We also manufacture covered buttons, in your supplied fabric. These can be sew through or shank buttons, the shank buttons are available in a dome or pancake shape with plastic or metal backs. Interlining
Hawes & Freer are the leading specialists in NZ for interlining services. We stock a wide range of interlinings for various fabrics and purposes, we are always happy to offer our advice on what the best interlining would be for your specific garment or requirements. We are also able to apply the fusing, using our Meyer German roller press, to ensure you are achieving the best application and fuse conditions for your garment. Hawes & Freer also stock a huge range of shoulder pads, boomerangs, under collar felt, pocketing and a range of handcrafted sewing tools.
