Fa’afetai/fakafetai to “Prayer’n’Bible Fams” & “Good Grief” for hosting such a beautiful mini retreat yesterday 🙏🏽 2025 Reflection: Write Your Own Psalm For The Year That Was

As we separated independently into the most stunning garden, each of us sharing an intimate and quiet time with Christ, I honestly can’t express how much this spiritual pause was needed after such a jam packed busy year.

Being amongst these incredible ladies, representing all walks of life yet facing the same worldly struggles.. the constant busyness, the many roles and hats we juggle, and the grief we each carry, was deeply grounding. And through it all the one thing that never fails us nor forsakes us is our faith.

If this resonates with you, I encourage you to follow these amazing faith led organisations both based in Auckland. Lani hosts daily Facebook LIVE devotions at 7am, search “PrayerandBible Fams” on Facebook. For 6 years she has not missed a single day. Praise God! Also Gen founder of Good grief, an organisation where grievers support grievers because no one should grieve alone 💕

A reminder fam to please connect with someone, let’s not face anything alone especially during this time of the year & our first point of contact is our very own personal counsellor hehe our Heavenly Father. He is always near, always listening, and always ready to carry what feels too heavy for us. In the quiet moments, in prayer, in scripture, and even in the beauty around us, He reminds us that we are seen, loved, and never alone. Reach out, lean in, and let connection be part of your healing.

As I sat down in the garden, I randomly opened the bible to Psalm and sure enough every page resonated to everything I’m currently facing. Look at God 👏🏽🥹

Yesterday marked such a beautiful and meaningful milestone, THE LAUNCH of . For us Samoans, this isn’t just a product. It’s a taste of home, a reminder of our childhood. A reflection of a mother’s love that lingers and how far it can reach, even from beyond this life. Her spirit was definitely felt and we were all so moved by every aspect of this launch and what this product presents.

Thank you for trusting us to be part of something so precious to you and your family. It has been an honour to serve alongside you as you prepare to share a piece of our culture with the world 🇼🇸🚀

We’re proud to introduce the Youth Legacy Programme 🙌🏼 a hands-on, year-long experience launching in 2026, created to help young people grow in identity, leadership, creativity, and confidence 🌺 Here’s our first big cheque we designed, printed, and assembled, a skill our youth will also get the opportunity to learn.

A massive thank you to for connecting us with the , where we met the extraordinary leaders Koreti Mitai and Shenaaz Nuu Leaso (left of photo) also co-founders of . It’s been such a pleasure getting to know you up-coming Poly queens and we can’t wait to create with you and the team 🖨️🎨

The programme is inspired by our own journey growing up in Mangere with big ideas but limited access to creative spaces, tools and resources. We want to change that for the next generation. Students will learn personal branding, digital storytelling, emotional wellbeing, healthy relationships, and gain real-world experience through community events, connecting with our elderly and mentorship from Māori & Pasifika leaders across South Auckland. There’s so much more planned but we are keeping it simple and achievable for our first year.

For three years, In Loving Memory NZ has operated completely self-funded while reinvesting our own profits into supporting local small businesses and collaborating on community events. We are building this programme the same way, from our own pockets and our passion for our community. We are also now opening the door to sponsorships and partnerships to help our youth go even further. Anyone who feels called to be part of this mission is welcome to connect with us 🫱🏻‍🫲🏽
