See how we make our custom Earth Day Hot Chocolate Bombs: first we spray with 100% natural colours (beautiful blue and green spirulina) then shell in a low sugar 43% milk chocolate. Pipe in a salted caramel, salted with Opito Bay Sea Salt and finished with a salted caramel marshmallow.

We have some pretty wonderful news to share.
At the 2026 NZ Outstanding Food Producer Awards, Pretty Fancy Chocolate walked away with two Golds and a Silver and we are absolutely over the moon.

We enter awards selectively, choosing just a few each year to give each bonbon its own moment to shine, or to bring attention to a flavour we think deserves to be noticed. Here’s what the judges had to say:

Happiest of Birthdays to Mum, the most inspiring woman I know. Chocolate addict, supporter and expert critic, we wouldn’t be on this chocolate journey without your support ☺️

Turning my culinary skills to all your favourite things: homemade focaccia with our own garlic butter, buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes and nasturtium and balsamic caramel. Dessert was sour cherry and pepper mousse, macadamia chocolate crumb, 72% dark chocolate mousse and lemon verbena, cherry and whiskey sauce.

Our favourite Easter bunnies: Plum & Cardamon. A delicious combination of whole organic Omega plum gel, Cardamon infused organic plum marshmallow and 72% craft chocolate.

Making our award winning Lime Coconut White Chocolate. The beginning always starts with the best ingredients: undeodorised organic cocoa butter, organic coconut milk powder (not flour) and organic golden sugar.

Once this has ground for 6 hours we add dried whole organic limes (zest, pith, seeds and juice) and let grind for a further 12-24 hours to allow the cocoa butter, coconut and lime to truly meld together.
