Growing up fishing was a family event and part of the culture of New Zealand. It is something I will miss, but the time has come to swap my rod for recreation too.

Auckland inorganic collections are available again!

Many of you are probably aware of the new system that has been introduced, but if you're not have a look at the second link in this post from Community WasteWise.

To organize an inorganic collection you now need to book it online first. Its free and easy to do, but many people are not aware of this new system and are just putting their inorganics out when other people, that have booked, put theirs out. Most of the time the collection trucks will not collect the items if you haven't booked.

Great news!

We have been weighing the the items that we have been diverting from landfill and recycling, and we reached our first milestone.

1500kg of goods is a drop in the ocean really, but that's a drop that we put there, and there are plenty more drops coming...
