Exciting news - 40kgs of mica landed at MYW headquarters yesterday. 😁
This is mostly restocking of colours that were either out of stock or running low, but I do have 3 new shades of gold and 4 new synthetic interference micas which are simply going to dazzle your world.🤩
These interference micas are large micron, super sparkly & change colour in different lights. They also look amazing dusted on soap in place of glitter.
Resin stable as well, I have gold, red, blue & green. They can also be mixed with regular mica or synthetics to create a colour shift. Plain white to the eye, just add light to reveal the most amazing iridescent hues.
Fantastic addition to eye shadow, nail polish, lip gloss, lotions, melt & pour soap, etc., & I believe they're also cold process soap stable. I'll start testing today & update you all with the results later this week, and I'll also add them to the website once testing is complete. :)

Hope everyone is managing to stay safe & dry in all this winter weather we've been having. 🥶 Great weather for being indoors making soap though. 🙂

Matching colours & fragrances............

I'm sure some of you are absolute naturals at it, but I personally find this one of the more difficult challenges when it comes to soap making.
Recently I purchased two new fragrances, Tuscan Leather & To***co Caramel, & in planning the soap, this question always arises...... what colours do these fragrances smell like?
I haven't yet been able to decide, but I'm sure you have some great tips to share about how you select colours to match your fragrance.

GOLD DUST - this cheeky little number is a great choice if you're looking for a mica to compliment your honey, milk & oatmeal soap.
Not only does it look great when teamed with honey & oatmeal, it also looks fabulous when used for gold pencil lines.

Stable in all soap making applications, & resin artists will love it too.

I often get asked for a sparkly silver mica, which is unfortunately not a colour I have, but did you know...........
You can make a really pretty, super sparkly silver using a combination of Tempest synthetic mica & Graphite mica.
I personally like using 2 parts of Tempest with 1/4 part Graphite, but you can always increase or decrease the amount of Graphite darken or lighten the shade of silver.
It looks really pretty as a sparkly glitter alternative on top of your cold process soap & gives off a beautiful silver shimmer in melt & pour soap. Also looks fantastic in resin. :)
