Dear Bookmandu Family,
We would like to begin with thanking you for all the love and support you’ve shown over the years. It truly means a lot to us.
When we started Bookmandu in 2015, we were just three naive founders looking for a way to provide a wonderful customer experience online for all the customers that loved books but wanted the convinience of shopping at one single place and getting it delivered to the doorstep. We started the company to solve this one particular problem.
As a company, we went through many ups and downs and many difficult times. The earthquake and the following border blockade were very difficult for us as a company.
Soon after that, we decided to suspend operations as we bid goodbye to some of our founding members with heavy hearts when they chose to go to a land far away from home for their studies.
However, we always wanted to revive Bookmandu and wanted to come back and solve the problem we set out to solve and the amazing amount of messages you’ve sent us always fueled the passion more.
We got caught somewhere in between this ever growing passion and the reality of a foreign land.
But, now we are ready to make a comeback and revive Bookmandu once again, albeit under a different name. This rebranding is important to us as a company but in the hearts we are still the same “Bookmandu” as you know.
This has been in works for a couple of months and now finally we feel like we have the capacity to re-start once again.
The love you’ve showered in our inbox is what fuels our passion and we’re very thankful to have wonderful people like you in the family.
Thank you once again for your never ending love and the patience you’ve endured over the years with us.
We hope to come back again very soon and it has only been possible because of YOU and provide you with an even better customer experience in the days to come.
