Caring for Your Cashmere
Softness this rare deserves care that’s gentle, deliberate, and slow.
Here’s how to protect the purity of your Highland Cashmere:
1. Hand wash only
Do: Gently wash in cold water using a mild, non-biological detergent or baby shampoo.
Don’t: Use hot water, bleach, or machine wash — they will damage the delicate fibers.
2. Handle with grace
Do: Gently squeeze or press out excess water without twisting.
Don’t: Wring or twist — it will stretch and distort the shape.
3. Dry it flat
Do: Lay your garment flat on a clean, dry towel and reshape. Dry away from direct sunlight and heat.
Don’t: Hang to dry, tumble dry, or expose to radiators — this can cause shrinkage and fiber damage.
4. Store folded, not hung
Do: Fold neatly and place in a breathable cotton bag or drawer.
Don’t: Hang — it pulls the fabric and causes distortion over time.
5. Refresh with steam
Do: Use a handheld steamer or hang in a steamy bathroom to gently remove wrinkles.
Don’t: Iron directly — high heat can burn or crush the delicate fibers.
6. Let it breathe
Do: Rest your cashmere between wears. Airing it out naturally helps maintain freshness.
Don’t: Wear the same piece continuously — natural fibers need time to relax.
Luxury is a commitment to slow, thoughtful living.
