Laverne Wyatt is the Founder and CEO of In Living Colour - media that empowers, a digitalization of diversity advisor, author, designer, entrepreneur and mom. She has over 20 years of experience in working with design and marketing communication across cultural borders. Originally from Durban, South Africa, she has worked for many years in different markets and for many major brands (i.e. Unilever, Rescue Company, Borregaard and Stadium) and government agencies (i.e. NOPA, Church Board, Global Oslo Music, Drammen Interculture, Halden Kulturråd, Batteriet, International Organization for Migration and Anti-Racism Center). Of particular impact to Laverne’s work, is the focus on modern Norway - a society which unfolds in a multitude of cultures and expressions. Through her company, she helps people from all cultures become more visible in the media. Laverne has also lived in Malta, in addition to Norway and South Africa. In all three countries, she has contributed to the construction of international enterprises, small businesses, ideological culture and music organizations. Whilst she still maintains offices in Oslo and Halden, a few years ago, she chose to move her daily life from Oslo to the countryside. Laverne has a solid multicultural capital and experience on what it takes to thrive in our professional and personal lives in Norway. We are very excited and proud to have Laverne as one of our panelists, where she will be discussing “Job Creation for and by Women” on November 19, 2018, at SoCentral.
