Today is the first day of the rest of my life!
After about a year of gathering equipment, machinery, fixing and installing, moving and calling on friends far more brilliant than me, the last machine is about to get ready.
Very soon Gijs Dutch Design will be Gijs Dutch.!
And will service 50 shops only with tailored solutions, limited edtions, 100% made in Holland

I Love keeping my workplace mobile in the summer.
This tailored frame is almost ready after months. It will be a 1/1 like most.
From now on delivery will be 4-8 weeks for tailored designs, my apologies to all who have been/are waiting

This pin belonged to my father. He was the official distributor of the John Lennon collection back in the 90’s. I remember it well and his phone conversation with Yoko.
He presented the collection with a guitar case instead of the traditional flight cases.
Back then Yoko did not want him to change the originals to a smaller size to fit the market.
My dad understood, he raised me with his KISS motto which has guarded me my whole life.
In these times, Let’s imagine and see what happens

Het is met groot verdriet dat ik u mededeel dat mijn vader en oprichter van Gijs Dutch Design, vorige week is overleden.
Hij was een groot en creatief inspirator van nieuwe stijlen binnen de brillenmode. Mijn vader,vriend en mentor is er niet meer. De liefste man ter wereld. Hij gaf me zijn laatste les; geduld.
Ik zal hem missen en met trots zijn werk voortzetten.

Fijne Koningsdag!
Jaren geleden hebben we deze kleur gemaakt als limited edition. Mooi om te zien dat er tenminste nog 1 bestaat, gedragen door .65 Zal ik er wat bij gaan maken voor volgend jaar?
