Curling should be about the sport and the athletes, not the sponsor. We hoped that our visibility would contribute to breaking the taboo that still rests in many countries on both s*xuality and our industry. Unfortunately, adjustments are necessary to get the sport to the fans. Instead of the EasyToys logo, it's decided to replace it with the hashtag . With this slogan, we still want to start the conversation about s*xual wellness and the importance of safe and enjoyable s*x for everyone. In many countries, this conversation is well on its way, but the boycott confirms we must continue to work on normalizing this topic for a wider audience.

Meet our colleague:

I am Charleen. I work as a content creator/storyteller at EDC.

Since I was 10 years old, my dream was to be a writer when I was older. Some dreams do come true because now that I am older, I ám a writer. I have the chance to inspire, motivate, entertain, and educate lots of people with my words. And I absolutely love that! But at EDC I am more than just a writer. No day is ever the same and I am involved in so many fun, interesting and challenging projects. Not only do I work for the online magazine of EasyToys, but I can also use my talents for the communication and marketing teams and events within EDC. Oh, and from time to time I make a little appearance in a commercial or photoshoot from EDC. This makes my job even more exciting and diverse! In my free time, I love to write, read, and talk about love and dating a lot. So, my job at EDC and I are a match made in heaven!

When they say there is room to grow within EDC, they are not kidding. And when they say it’s the most exciting company to work for, they are not messing around either!

We work closely together and as a family we are pretty tight and yes, we do like to celebrate for absolutely no reason what so ever. And after working remotely and with distance from each other in the past two years, it was time to celebrate our successes and to fall in love with each other again. 🍻🎉

The rules in the Netherlands are more relaxed, which allows us to come together in a safe environment. It was time for us to put on our Lederhosen and Dirndl’s and to enjoy good company, excellent food and drinks, great music and lots of energy! 🙌🏽

My name is Jet and since May 2019 employee of EDC Customerservice.

I am proud to be a part of a great team of colleagues who are enthousiastic, very nice and funny.

At EDC and our brands, we work daily to normalize the issue around s*xual wellness. In the past year, we saw that some topics were eagerly covered in the national media, so it was time to invite some journalists to our headquarters in Veendam: the epicenter of s*x toys.

The day started with a masterclass by our product specialist Megan Smit and then the founder and CEO Eric Idema took everyone through the logistics center. The tour ended in our showroom where s*xologist Eveline Stallaart was waiting. She told about the changes corona brought to our s*x lives and then talked to two players of FC Emmen about locker room taboos.

We look back on an exciting day and we are grateful that we could welcome the journalists at our headquarters.
