Kevin Panhuyzen (28y) is a former pro XC MTB rider who became World Champion Gravel in the 19-34y age group in 2022.

He visited our bike fit studio for the first time about three years ago and had quite a few bike and sponsorship changes in the meantime. So it was time for a thorough check up.

We checked the position on each of his three Giant Bikes (Revolt for Gravel, TCR for Road, Anthem for MTB) and made changes to his cleat setup and saddle height. We are confident these changes will give him more power and comfort in the upcoming season, during which he hopes to set some nice results in Gravel races again.

After 2 years, our first event is coming up in less than 10 days and it will be right on our doorstep at the Shimano Experience Center during the Amstel Gold Race! Due to the restrictions in place at the time, he wasn't able to come and experience a bike fit in our fit studio himself, but last week we were finally able to welcome him and let him experience our range of fitting services in person.

After receiving a newsletter back in December in which our services were featured (https://fal.cn/3m5zK (article in Dutch)), Michiel de Bruijne was told that he had won the bike fit that was provided as a prize to one of the recipients of this newsletter. Since our doors opened again recently, he was quick to make an appointment and get his position optimized for his new mountainbike.

We met up with Rick and asked him some questions about his business and how he uses our tools to provide all the relevant fit services to his customers.

Rick de With of LeBlanc BikeFit has been interested in the position on the bike since he was 15 and often gave advice to other cyclists until he decided to tackle it professionally in 2019. Last week bikefitting.com was able to present some of its experiences and insights on all things related to bike fitting during the Science & Cycling conference in Leuven linked to the UCI World Championships. During the conference, experts from the competitive cycling world and scientists exchanged their latest research and experiences. It was great to see some familiar faces, learn from all the other presenters and share ideas on all things cycling!
