It’s been a little while since we shared a Sunday Setup, so today it’s ’ turn! ☕️

Koosje has been working with us for the past few months as our junior content and marketing teammate. She can’t live without her dosing funnel and WDT tool because it annoys her when her whole coffee corner is covered in grounds after grinding.

“Since working here, I’ve learned a lot more about what good coffee can taste like. Before, coffee was just coffee to me. But ever since I joined the team, I’ve become way more picky. When I go out for coffee now, I first check what machine they have inside. Working in coffee has definitely spoiled me.” 👀

🦢 One thing Koosje still wants to improve? Her latte art skills.

“At the moment, I can only make one pattern. I do notice I’m slowly getting better at steaming milk, but let’s just say… another latte art course definitely wouldn’t hurt.” 👀

Don’t forget to swipe for a few home barista dilemmas. Want us to feature your setup next, or do you have a question for Koosje? Let us know! 👇

☕ Stop buying pre-ground coffee, and start grinding your beans fresh!

Did you know your espresso grounds already start losing their freshness, aroma, and flavour after about 30 seconds? That’s why timing matters more than you think ⏱️

Our advice? If you want to get the most out of your beans, simply grind right before you brew! Sounds like a small detail, but those small details can make a big difference in your cup.

Share this post with someone who still buys pre-ground coffee 😉

If espresso feels a bit too intense, this one is worth trying ☕

A café crème is a longer coffee you’ll often come across in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. It gives you a softer, more diluted cup than an espresso, but it is still made with your espresso machine. Nice if you want something a little easier to sip without going straight to filter coffee.

Want to try this out yourself? Keep this recipe in mind to start with: 18 grams of ground coffee in, 250 grams out, in around 25 to 30 seconds.

The steps are explained in the slides, so you can follow along easily. Would you try this, or are you team espresso?
