Yesterday morning we returned from an amazing event.
The first year Sletten Vikings (Denmark) took place, we were asked to join. Unfortunately we weren’t able to.
This year finally the pieces fell into place and so we signed up.
Already from the beginning it looked like a well organised combination of viking training ground, with matching battles and a market.
But then at a size of about five times an average event. And amazingly good it was!
The whole camp area was huge yet cozy. Lying on the edge of a beautiful lake, we nestled in our part of the camp right next to the main (merchant) street.
People from about twenty different countries joined Sletten, and besides making a lot of new friends, we met a whole lot of ‘online’ customers finally in real life!
A big thank you to both the organisation and all the participants!
Our hearts filled with joy and we are very happy and grateful that we could join and also see our effort rewarded when the people walked away with their beauties to make new amazing garments!
An event like this we wouldn’t want to miss again so we will most likely be seeing you all again next year!
