The IJsselmeer is truly the perfect playground to progress your downwinding. Reliable conditions, easy-to-read lines, and super clean bumps make it such an amazing place to learn how to connect glide after glide.

Today was on the smaller side, but still more than enough to enjoy endless runs on the Armstrong UHA 70 together with the Appletree Mid-Length Hollow 97. The feeling of linking bump to bump, carving turns, and gliding forever never gets old.

Honestly… this board surprised me big time.

Super fast acceleration, amazing glide and it keeps speed incredibly well even after touchdowns. I already loved it for parawing and wingfoiling, but after today it really feels like a true quiver killer.

Used with a Code 1250R foil — not tiny, but definitely not huge — and the ease of takeoff was honestly insane.

This thing is going to do everything for me:
Parawing, wingfoil, downwind and SUP foil. 🔥

Always been skeptical about bigger parawings… until the Ozone Pocket Rocket 5.7 V2 completely changed my mind.
This wing became a key part of my quiver for those 10–15 knot days. Despite the size, stashing, redeploying, upwind angles and power management all feel insanely easy and intuitive.

Paired with the Appletree 97 and the ultra-efficient Code Foils 1250R, this setup gets you going in the lightest breeze possible. ⚡️🌬️

Flat water paddle ups on the new Armstrong UHA 970 🤯

Honestly, I would never have expected the 970 to become my easy flat water paddle up foil. The amount of glide and efficiency this thing has is just insane. Once up and flying, it keeps carrying speed effortlessly, and I was able to pump for around a minute without any problem.

Paired with the new Armstrong Performance MK II mast, the whole setup feels incredibly direct, efficient, glidey, and high performance at the same time. The energy transfer is mega clean and every pump just keeps accelerating the foil forward.

This already feels amazing on flat water… and now I seriously can’t wait to try this setup in proper downwind conditions 🌊⚡️

Flat water paddle-up session today on the new Armstrong UHA range… and honestly, these foils completely surprised me. 🚀

Tested the UHA 1270, 970, and 870 back-to-back, together with the new Armstrong MK2 40mm mast.

What stood out the most was how quickly these foils accelerate and engage. The efficiency is next level. I expected the bigger sizes to paddle up easily, but the biggest surprise was how manageable and quick even the smaller sizes were to get flying.

The 1270 was super easy to paddle up with tons of glide and stability — just needed a little adjustment because of the bigger span.The 970 instantly felt like it could become an insane light wind downwind foil. Fast engagement, efficient pumping, and still loads of glide.But the real shocker was the 870… I honestly didn’t expect to paddle it up that quickly and efficiently. Mega impressive.

Also, the new MK2 14mm mast feels ultra stiff. The energy transfer is incredibly direct and responsive, which makes the whole setup feel even more alive under your feet.
