Blue Band has been a household name in the Netherlands for over 90 years! Blue Band helps us to consume healthy food with all important nutrients, 100% plant-based.

In a spectacularly designed newspaper advertisement for that time, a cheerful young lady smiles at the reader from every corner of the page. It is 1923 and the Blue Band girl makes her appearance in the Netherlands. She recommends margarine.

In September 1923, the brand was also launched in the Netherlands, with full-page advertisements and other promotional material. Due to its fine taste, the product could withstand any comparison, it was said, because wasn't it 'freshly churned'? A handy reference to a part of the production process that resembled churning. The irritated dairy sector could not legally do anything about it.

Blue Band is al ruim 90 jaar een begrip in Nederland! Blue Band helpt ons om een gezonde voeding met alle belangrijke voedingsstoffen binnen te krijgen, 100% plantaardig.

In een voor die tijd spectaculair opgemaakte krantenadvertentie lacht een vrolijke jongedame de lezer vanuit elke hoek van de pagina toe. Het is 1923 en het Blue Band meisje doet haar intrede in Nederland. Ze beveelt margarine aan.

In september 1923 werd het merk ook in Nederland gelanceerd, met paginagrote advertenties en ander promotiemateriaal. Door de fijne smaak kon het product elke vergelijking doorstaan, zo werd gesteld, want was het niet ‘versch gekarnd’? Een handige verwijzing naar een onderdeel van het productieproces dat op karnen leek. De geïrriteerde zuivelsector kon er juridisch niets tegen beginnen.
