Blue Monday 2024 - is marked annually on the third Monday of January, which is today.
🔹The establishment of this date goes back to 2005, when Sky Travel commissioned psychologist Cliff Arnall, a researcher at Cardiff University, to define the most depressing day of the year.
🔹Coping with Blue Monday and managing feelings of sadness or depression requires self-care and support.
🔹Call a friend. You don’t need to get out of the house for this. Facetime will do just fine. If possible to grab a cup of coffee in your fav place… then go for it.
🔹Practice Self-Care: take a bath, do some skin care, put a mask, manicure, pedicure, you got it.
🔹Limit Stressors: Reduce exposure to stressors when possible, and prioritize self-compassion. Basically stay in bed, eat something yummy and binge on fav series.
