🧶 Bijna tijd voor de Weversmarkt, maar eerst even een korte pauze. (ENGLISH↓)

Warm weer en wol, wat een combinatie. Met dit weer denk je eigenlijk niet aan een wollen trui, en al helemaal niet aan een sjaal. Maar wist je dat wol ook isoleert bij extreme hitte? Als het warmer is dan je lichaamstemperatuur, is een dikke wollen mantel beter dan een dun hemdje. Kijk maar naar de nomaden in de woestijn.

Maar serieus, ik ga je natuurlijk niet overtuigen dat je in de zomer een dik vest moet dragen.

De zomervakantie is echter wel perfect om te beginnen met het maken van iets warms voor de herfst. Ikzelf neem van 6 tot en met 17 juli vakantie en neem zeker een paar projecten mee.

De showroom van Studio Recht en Averecht is dan een tijdje gesloten, maar de webshop blijft gewoon "open". Je moet alleen nog even wachten voordat ik je bestelling kan verzenden.

Kort na mijn vakantie, op woensdag 22 juli, vindt de Weversmarkt in Hoorn weer plaats. Het hele centrum zal gevuld zijn met kraampjes vol garens en aanverwante artikelen. En natuurlijk ben ik er ook weer bij met The Coloured Cat en een kraam vol handgeverfde garens. Een absolute aanrader!

🧶 Almost time for the 'Wevers market' (Weversmarkt), but first a little break.

Warm weather and wool, what a combination. With this weather, you really shouldn't be thinking about a wool sweater, and certainly not a scarf. But did you know that wool also acts as insulation in extreme heat? If it is warmer than your body temperature, a thick wool robe is better than a thin tank top. Just look at the nomads in the desert.

But seriously, I am of course not going to convince you that you should start wearing a thick cardigan in the summer.

However, the summer holidays are perfectly suited for starting to make something warm for autumn. I myself will be taking a break from July 6th to 17th and will definitely be taking a few projects with me.

The showroom of Studio Recht en Averecht will be closed for a while then, but the webshop will remain "open" as usual. You just have to wait a little while before I can ship it.

Shortly after my holiday, on Wednesday, July 22nd, the ' Weavers Market' (weversmarkt) in Hoorn will take place again. the entire city center will be filled with stalls selling all kinds of yarns and related items. And naturally, I will be there again with The Coloured Cat and a full stall of hand-dyed yarns. Highly recommended to come there then.
