Feeling all the feels while driving home from France, still processing the past few days in our little château bubble at lenvie.workshop.
Organizing and hosting a workshop of this scale is intense, not gonna lie. With so many moving parts, things are bound to go wrong or turn out differently than expected, both throughout the months of preparation and while we’re there.
We put an enormous amount of thought and intention into every detail of L’Envie, but strangely enough, I don’t think it’s those details that define the experience in the end. It’s how people feel while they’re there. Whether they feel welcomed, included, inspired and comfortable enough to be themselves. Whether there’s room to learn without comparison, to create without pressure and to connect beyond the work we all came there to make.
And I think that’s what I’m most proud of when looking back at this edition. There was such a warmth and gentleness to this group. So much kindness, curiosity, enthusiasm and laughter. People sharing what they know, encouraging each other, creating together and allowing themselves to get a little weird along the way.
From Las Vegas to a whimsical apocalypse, from a memorial for an insect called Peter to witchy fire dances… you really just had to be there.
So grateful for every single person in this group and for our entire team who helped create this magic. And very proud of my co-host Paris, Italy, Belgium wedding photographer | Elke Van den Ende and myself for pulling off yet another L’Envie.
