Stainless steel has become one of the most popular materials in jewellery, especially in recent years. And we completely understand why. It’s durable, easy to wear and often more affordable. But with its growing popularity, we sometimes forget that jewellery is about so much more than just the material it’s made from.
At Parisienne, we believe it’s worth looking beyond the label “stainless steel”. Not because stainless steel isn’t beautiful, but because there are so many other materials, techniques and finishes that make a piece special.
Gold, silver, vermeil, brass, pearls, gemstones and different types of plating can all create a completely different look and feeling. Some pieces are made to last for years and become part of your everyday jewellery collection. Others are more delicate, unique or designed to be worn for a special occasion.
Especially with jewellery trends moving so quickly on social media, it’s easy to see “stainless steel” and immediately think: this must be better. But the material alone doesn’t tell the whole story. Quality, craftsmanship, design, finishing and the way you care for your jewellery all matter too.
So this is just a little reminder: don’t shop based on one material name alone. Explore. Feel the difference. Try something you might not normally choose.
