The root of this challenge lies in the fact that each PPA, by its very nature, is an nMSME, yet the majority of these enterprises lack global exposure and the necessary digital resources to thrive in today's dynamic business landscape.
Adding to this complexity are the difficulties faced by some corps members in locating their PPAs upon initial assignment. This leads to frustrating and time-consuming searches in unfamiliar areas, especially for corps members that may not dutifully read their PPA letters for a clear understanding of the address, and this is a challenge that could be streamlined with the application of geospatial data and technology.

To effectively address this challenge, there is a crucial need to GEOCODE AND ENROLL nMSME PPAs in Google My Business (GMB), thereby empowering these businesses and propelling Abia State's economic growth and digital entrepreneurship.
One may question the necessity of geocoding these PPAs since they will still be onboarded on GMB. The answer is straightforward: enrolling businesses in Google My Business (GMB) is akin to creating a digital profile for each business, much like a social media page. This profile includes essential information about the business, such as its name, services, and customer reviews. While Geocoding, on the other hand, is the process of attaching a precise map location to this digital profile, essentially adding a GPS coordinate to a business's information.
This is vital because it enables people to pinpoint the exact location of the business on a map when they search for it online. It simplifies the process of potential customers finding and visiting the business in the real world. Geocoding enhances the enrollment in GMB by ensuring that the business is accurately placed on the map, making it easier for customers to locate and support them.
