Do you want to become a movie star in Nigeria?
Have you always desired to be the next big name in Nollywood? Do you think you have what it takes to be the next Ini Edo, Mercy Johnson, Yul Edochie?Then this opportunity is for you!
Anyone can be a star. But you won’t be discovered in your room. To be a star, you must go out, utilize every opportunity to showcase your skills and talents. Attend auditions. Yes, you must be ready to travel to attend auditions. Sometimes, you get a role after the first audition. But other times, you have to attend 5 to 10 auditions before you can land a role. So becoming a movie star in Nigeria is not a tea party. It requires commitment, diligence, and hardwork.
Also, while trying to get your foot into the movie Industry, be ready and prepared to accept any role you’re offered. Cos the truth is that you can’t afford to be selective at this point. No one knows you, and they probably don’t have much confidence in your ability to deliver. So giving you a role on their set is more or less a risk they are taking. The more reason you should be appreciative and give it your best shot. With time, you can start landing better roles, and in no time, you will become th darling of Nollywood!
I know you must have been told to join the AGN.Yes, inasmuch as this is a right step to take, you must realize that AGN doesn’t give roles or acting jobs. So don’t bank on becoming a stat simply by registering and joining AGN.
The best way to get acting roles is via auditions, and maybe registering with an agency who will feature you in their movies, or arrange for you to act on other sets.
