When Crafties pioneered structured beaded jewelry training over 23 years ago, many people were not stringing beads. With the oil boom, imported finished goods like jewelry were the order of the day. There was liquidity and the exchange rate wasn’t so bad.

Since I already learned how to make basic beaded jewelry, which I found easy, I felt certain that many could learn it. In- person classes spread alongside the television craft slot which was on for approx 5 years and students became teachers. Beaded jewelry artists and trainings spread rapidly.

We insisted on something different:
Finishing.
Structure.
Professional standards.

We ran classes for years and took a short break.

Today, I am pleased to announce the return of that structured approach in a deeper, more immersive format:
