WHY DOES MY FREEZER DEFROST FAST!!!

Have you asked yourself this question so many times.
Well, you are not wrong if you have been wondering why.
There are few reasons why it is so, it could be from you or technically not even your own doing.

A freezer can defrost faster than expected for several reasons. Here are the common ones:

1. Weak or Faulty Compressor – The cooling system may not reach or maintain freezing temperatures. So its need to be changed.

2. Power Interruption – If electricity goes out, the freezer loses cooling and thaws quicker. We need to understand that 1-2 hours of stable power isn't enough to freeze everything in your freezer. If nepa keep bringing and taking your light for over 10 hours without it being stable for at least 4 hours, your freezer will keep defrosting.

3. Frequent Door Opening – Warm, moist air enters and causes frost buildup that melts quickly when power goes off, so if you are selling soft drinks and it defrost faster, this could be the reason.

4. Damaged Door Seal (Gasket) – If the rubber seal isn’t tight, warm air leaks in, leading to faster melting. Sometimes you won't realize that your freezer does not close properly.

5. Overloaded or Underloaded Freezer – Too much food blocks airflow, or too little food doesn’t retain cold well. Overloaded when nothing has frozen inside or underloaded when there is nothing else in there to help retain cold, as soon as it freezes, it will defroze back.

3. Poor Insulation – Old or damaged insulation can’t hold cold well, so it defrosts faster.

7. Blocked or Broken Air Vents/Fans – Poor circulation leads to uneven cooling and quicker thawing. Only down or upper part will be cooling.

8. High Room Temperature – If the freezer is in a hot environment, it warms up and defrosts faster. This commonly happen, so we also advice you give your freezer a little space from the wall to allow proper ventilation because while working, the body of the freezer will be likely warm/hot.

9. Old or Worn-Out Freezer – Over time, efficiency drops and it can’t hold cold for long. Come and buy new freezer, eh nkechi. You have used that freezer close to100 years, do you want to dash it to your grand children eh fine man/woman 😃

10. Automatic Defrost Malfunction – If the auto-defrost cycle runs too often or too long, it can make food thaw. This has nothing to do with, the freezer is certainly faulty.
