The lady woke up from her sleep, she didn't want to wake up earlier because of the soft feeling she got from the soft beddings she laid on. A delicious aroma engulfed the air, she couldn't resist it anymore so she had to stand up from the bed.
"Where am I?" Her instincts awakened but she brushed it off
"I can't get lots, Aw...this scent is heaven" she walked round the hut, searching for it's exit.
Eventually, she found a walkway and entered through it, which led her outside. She tiptoed behind Jayden who was roasting an antelope that he killed this morning on a bare field with fire underneath, making the aroma fill the woods.
"Hola!" The lady tapped in and waved her hand when he looked back at her
"Hola!" He replied, still holding the antelope meat in his hands.
"Wow! You're the great cook. Bonne!" She said smiling not without looking around
"Merci!" He replied
"A very good job you did here, what a building!" The lady said, Jayden looked up and developed a great liking for her instantly.
"Ah..yeah. I had to build a cottage coz of hard times. This work is kinda my only source of living" Jayden replied
"I'm so sorry, I didn't even introduce myself". She chuckled
"I'm Minnie" she said and stretched out her hands
"Jayden" he simply said and she nodded
"Nice meeting you, and thanks for saving me" Minnie replied
"Don't mention, it's part of me" Jayden said
"You live in this cottage?" She asked
"Not really, I built it for times like this...to save people, and when...I'm in trouble" he replied
"Where do you live then?" She asked
"I live in Georgia city at the George" he replied and she opened her mouth, surprised.
"The nobles!" She exclaimed, her mouth agape.
"Yeah...but ..I was adopted" Jayden replied
"Okay, you're too cute to be adopted" Minnie said and Jayden almost blushed but stopped when the meat in his hand was burning
"Our meat! Gosh! I asked too many questions" Minnie slapped herself hard
"We have no choice, we'll eat it that way" Jayden replied
"Yeah, I'm really hungry" Minnie said, Jayden cut the meat into small pieces and they began eating it
"It's not sweet" she made her mouth sour
"You caused it! Just skin it's fur instead" Jayden rolled his eyes at her
"Mn... sweet!" She licked her lips while Jayden palmed his face in worry
Two weeks later.....
Sophia and Goldie were gisting outside the house, about the latest news going on in the city, how they were well respected in the country.
Jayden walked in almost immediately, not interrupting their discussion, he even acted like they didn't exist.
"Jayden" Goldie greeted, he waved at her, not soaring Sophia even a one second glance
"Sophia?" Goldie called when she noticed she shut her eyes close
"Sophia" she hit her hard this time, she flew her eyes open at once and stood up
"I'll just go inside" Sophia replied
"To meet Jayden?" Goldie asked
"Yeah, how could he pass a noble like me without showing a courtesy" she blurted out and exit
"Being proud isn't the goal!" Goldie sighed out

Sophia walked into his room without knocking
"My dad owns literally everything here, I have every right!" She thought, sitting on the bed. She looked around but didn't see any picture of him except for the one he had when he was adopted.
"He cute" she smiled and he came out of the bathroom just in time. He had sensed that someone was present in the room but couldn't decipher who it was. His eyes widened when he saw Sophia, and more, she's sitting on his bed.
"Jayden, I never knew you were in here" she lied
He walked past her with no response, taking his tracksuit from the wardrobe, he entered the bathroom again
"I wonder what's doing here" he thought as he wore his clothes.
He left the bathroom and still met her sitting in the same spot he left her.
"Even if you see me, act like I don't exist. I don't wanna have anything to do with you!" We're the words that rang in his head, he took his crossbag and started leaving the room
"Jayden" she called
"Act like you do not see nor hear" his subconscious mind said and he kept walking
"Jayden, please don't leave yet" she held the door k**b before he got to do so.
"Why are you avoiding me?" She asked but he didn't reply her.
"I'm asking a question" she asked again, he finally faced her, his hands in his pocket.
"I'm trying to abide by the rules in the house, why will you let me break 'em. You said I should never look in your direction, so tell me why I should act like though you exist. I don't know you, you don't know me, okay?" He said and exit, not looking back.
"Wait...I shouldn't have said that" she sighed ruffling her hair.
