TAILORS ARE NOT ALWAYS WRONG
Last week, a new customer walked into our shop. Looking at him, you will know that he has had a shouting match with somebody.
He was wearing a senator fabric that was faded a little, a navy blue and he was not smiling.
Immediately I looked at the cloth again, he started telling me that the cloth was new and he was just wearing it for the second time.He blamed his Tailor for buying a 'fake' fabric for him from the market and asked me to give him an original fabric
But guess what? The fabric wasn’t fake.
So, I asked how he washed the fabric
his boys soak the wool fabric overnight inside detergent.
They wash and spread it in the sun and leave for the shop, so it drys outside under direct sun throughout the day.
And finally, they iron it.
At that point, I became tired and just sighed.
Because these 3 simple things will fade even the finest fabric
So before you fight your tailor or curse your dry cleaner next time
Check how you’re treating your senators fabric:
✅Practice quick wash only.
✅Sunlight can bleach clothes, if you have oil on your white and you put it under the sun, the oil will disappear, don't do that with your senators, dry in a shade or when the sun is not too hot.
✅Avoid high heat when ironing or iron inside out.
Buy quality senators fabrics, take care of it and watch it take care of you, even at old age.
