We just want to highlight that not all water hyacinth rugs are created equal 👊🏾

While many mass-produced water hyacinth mats simply weave whole dried stems together, our rugs begin with an entirely different process. At MitiMeth, we first transform water hyacinth into woven rope before handcrafting each rug into richly textured surfaces with depth, structure and a refined architectural aesthetic.
