UWEM PHENOMENON: A REVIEW by Adekola James Sanmi

At first when I saw this title as an invitation for its launch by my brother: Sunday Obanubi, I was a bit skeptical for two reasons. One, the object of the investigation was not known to me so I was wondering what was so special about her to worth being write about. Two, most memoirs I have read sometimes does not actually depict the true personality in question, it is in most cases a persona.

However, after a painstaking effort of reading the piece, my skepticism I have had reasons to discard. The piece, a sixty-five pages is a classic one devoid of intellectual bigotry.

The book in all present the person of Uwem Akai as an exceptional human being who shines light on everything she does. She is a great leader per excellence, and a rare gift to everybody who comes across her way. After reading this piece, I have come to see Uwem as a goddess with exceptional virtues. She is an angel in human clothing as excellence and perfection encapsulate her person.

Her ability to see and identify with pain of others makes her a priceless being to everybody that comes her way. Indeed, her portrait by the author and other well wishers endear her to me, and would have loved to personally meet her.

The book in itself is a classic. It is concise and precise which explains the person of the author. Sunday Obanubi is a very practical person with ability for attention to details. The book in all enjoins every professional to be excellent minded and call for the need for organization to see its people as the greatest asset.

I therefore recommend the book to every employees as it will help them discover themselves and become a better person to themselves as well as the organization where they work. Every boss, will gain immensely from this piece by learning some of the rare virtues which endear Uwem to her people.
