YOUTH WAKE UP
Often times, we find it easier to find fault in others but unrealistic for us to identify our own faults. Youths of earlier Nigeria were not just literate but also wise enough to find there playground amongst the colonial masters and stood strongly for their right. Things in those good old days were not at easy as we have it now a days. Not just the educated ones but majority were literate even though the proportion of the educated fellow were lesser to the uneducated ones.
In the good old days the daily times or newspaper then was onces in a week, unlike the present day, that we have it directly from the horse easily spread like the recent convid 19. In the early Nigeria, students were begged to go to school compare to our contemporary days where we see education as a must to learn. Our society continue to degrade in the ratio of our educated youths and learned ones
If Awolowo had claim been superior to the likes of Tafawa Balewa, Beko Kuti, Nnamdi Azikwe, will there be independence? These are people of different ethnicity, Tribe and Religion but come to a consensus of getting independence. Their knowledge and intellectualities are charged towards liberating themselves and their people from the colonial masters. These people weren't aged at that time, they were people like me and you of same age group, with positive and foresight for a greater future. That is why till this moment their impact still have effect and continue to be relevant, because we that follow them them lack the virtue of oneness and also lack foresight for coming generation.
Do we ever ask our self this question HOW DO I WANT TO BE REMEMBERED?? Whether when retired or late. I guess we enjoy to be remember as a great abuser, a no nonsense fellow with no tangible achievements to point at. We love it to be remember not. If you don't want to be forgotten do something or write something that will live after you.
