🤲 The Best Du‘ā of the Day of ‘Arafah ☝🏻🤍🕋

The Day of ‘Arafah is one of the greatest and most beloved days in Islam — a day filled with mercy, forgiveness, du‘ā, and freedom from the Fire.

On this blessed day, millions of pilgrims stand upon the plains of ‘Arafah with tears, humility, and hope, calling upon Allah sincerely.

It is the day when hearts soften, sins are forgiven, and du‘ās rise to the heavens.

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:

♦️ “The best du‘ā is the du‘ā of the Day of ‘Arafah…”
📚 Sunan al-Tirmidhi 3585

Then he taught this beautiful dhikr and du‘ā to recite frequently on this blessed day:

♦️ Transliteration:

“La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadir.”

🤍 Meaning:

“There is no god worthy of worship except Allah alone, without partner. To Him belongs all dominion and all praise, and He has power over everything.”

📚 Sunan al-Tirmidhi 3585

The Day of ‘Arafah is not only for the pilgrims — every Muslim around the world can gain immense rewards through fasting, dhikr, repentance, and sincere du‘ā.

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) also said:

♦️ “There is no day on which Allah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of ‘Arafah.”
📚 Sahih Muslim 1348

This is a day to ask Allah for forgiveness, mercy, guidance, protection from Jahannam, righteous deeds, and Jannatul Firdaus.

No sincere du‘ā is ever wasted.

Even one moment of sincere repentance may change a person’s life forever.

If a woman is unable to fast on the Day of ʿArafah because of menstruation, she should never feel deprived or hopeless concerning the mercy and reward of Allah. In Islam, when a believer is prevented from a righteous deed due to a genuine Sharʿī excuse beyond their control, Allah may still grant them the reward based on their sincere intention.

The Prophet Muḥammad (ṣallāLlāhu 'alayhi wa sallam) said: “When a servant becomes ill or travels, Allah records for him what he used to do when healthy and resident.” (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī).

So if she genuinely intended to fast but was prevented by her period, she can hope for Allah’s immense reward through her sincerity and obedience.

She should increase herself in other acts of worship on the Day of ʿArafah, such as:

* abundant duʿā’,
* dhikr,
* takbīr (Allahu Akbar),
* tahlīl (lā ilāha illā Allah),
* seeking forgiveness,
* ṣalawāt upon the Prophet (ṣallāLlāhu 'alayhi wa sallam),
* charity,
* listening to Qur’ān,
* Islamic reminders,
* helping others,
* and avoiding sins.

The Day of ʿArafah is fundamentally a day of remembrance, humility, repentance and duʿā’. The Prophet (ṣallāLlāhu 'alayhi wa sallam) said: “The best supplication is the supplication of the Day of ʿArafah.” (Jāmiʿ al-Tirmidhī).

A menstruating woman can engage fully in duʿā’ and dhikr and may even spend the day more spiritually focused than some who are fasting physically.

She may repeatedly say:
Lā ilāha illaLlāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahu al-mulku wa lahu al-ḥamd wa huwa ʿalā kulli shay’in qadīr.

She should also make heartfelt personal supplications for:

* forgiveness,
* guidance,
* family,
* the Ummah,
* peace,
* righteous children,
* protection,
* and success in this world and the Hereafter.

Allah is Most Just and Most Merciful. He does not punish a woman for something He Himself created as part of her natural condition, nor does He deprive sincere believers of His mercy because of circumstances beyond their control.

First 10 Days of Dhul Hijjah

They are the best days of the entire year for righteous deeds.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari)

Allah Himself swears by them in the Qur’an:
“By the dawn, and by the ten nights…”
(Surah Al-Fajr 89:1–2)

These days combine the greatest acts of worship: Hajj rites, the Day of Arafah (9th), and Eid al-Adha (10th). Rewards are multiplied more than any other time even greater than the last 10 nights of Ramadan for general good deeds.

The 8 Powerful Acts

Maximize these blessed days with these recommended deeds:

1. Prayer Perform all obligatory prayers with focus + extra voluntary (nafl) prayers.

2. Dhikr Abundant remembrance: Takbir (Allahu Akbar), Tahmid, Tahlil, Tasbih, especially in these days.

3. Du’a Sincere supplication. Arafah is the best day for du’a.

4. Fasting Fast the first 9 days (especially Arafah), which expiates sins of two years.

5. Sadaqah Give charity generously. Include Qurbani (sacrifice) on Eid.

6. Do Good Deeds Kindness, helping others, family ties, reconciliation.

7. Tahajjud Night prayers in the last third of the night, deeply rewarding.

8. Recite the Qur’an Read, reflect, and understand the Qur’an daily.

May Allah accept our efforts, forgive our sins, and bless us in these magnificent days. Ameen.
