The Japanese designer, who has already teamed up with Adidas in the past for the Y-3 line, has created an utterly fierce pair of football boots for the three-stripe brand.

Yamamoto has transformed the adizero F50 football boots into a pair of imperial lion-dogs, mythical Japanese creatures associated with the Imperial Era.

Professional soccer players will wear these exclusive Adidas boots in matches around the world this weekend, sporting a design that pays homage to Yohji Yamamoto’s Japanese ancestors.

Fans can look out for the yellow lion-dogs on the feet of Gyasi Zardes of LA Galaxy, Jonny Steele of New York Red Bulls, Lucas Moura of Paris Saint-Germainand Naohiro Ishikawa of FC Tokyo.

These adizero F50 boots are quite a bold fashion statement, in fiery yellow tones with contrasting black and brown details. The sides of the boots call to mind the manes of the mythical lion-dogs, who were believed to guard the throne of the Japanese emperors. Yamamoto has presented a detailed and surprisingly realistic rendition of the mythical beasts that is bound to intimidate opponents on the field.

The “Yohji Yamamoto adizero F50″ boots will be available from October 28 in Adidas stores. Price: €300 (around $415) per pair.

After launching Junior Gaultier, a line of ready-to-wear clothing for kids, in 2009, the Jean Paul Gaultier design house is taking its children’s clothing to a new level of luxury with Junior Gaultier Couture. The Spring/Summer 2014 collection marks the debut of the new couture children’s clothing label.

The first piece from the first Junior Gaultier Couture collection, designed for budding fashionistas, draws inspiration from the Indian-inspired dresses presented in Jean Paul Gaultier’s Spring-Summer 2013 haute couture womenswear collection.

Fit for a princess, the dress is made from a raw silk bodice and a long layered skirt in tulle. The finishing touch is a bolero that buttons in the back and is accented with Swarovski crystals.

Presented at the end of the latest Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture show, the dress comes in two shades: ivory and padparadscha.

The Junior Gaultier Couture dress will go on sale before the end of the year in a limited edition. Only 90 dresses of each color will be made, in sizes ranging from 4 to 14 years. The dress is priced at €850.

Nicole Kidman has appeared in a new campaign for Cruise 2014 and divulges some behind-the-scenes confessions in a video.

“I have been known to be the party girl of all party girls. I’m proud of being able to go I’m up for anything and if that means diving into the ocean at midnight naked, I’ll do it,” reveals Nicole Kidman in a new behind-the-scenes video for Jimmy Choo.

The 46-year-old actress was styled with a Brigitte Bardot-style back-combed hairdo for the brand’s new Cruise 2014 campaign. “To draw from someone like Bardot is fabulous,” explains Kidman in the clip: “she was a very strong cinematic presence, but I think she was also a world presence in terms of setting a style, in the same way that Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly and all these people set their styles.”

She also elaborates on her own relationship with shoes: “I love ankle straps; there’s something about wearing ankle straps that makes you feel feminine. They feel girly which is kind of nice.” According to the actress it’s “the luxury, femininity and the attention to detail” that gets ladies’ hearts racing when it comes to footwear.

The collection is available to pre-order now via the Jimmy Choo site with the ‘Lottie’ black sandals worn in the adverts selling for €495 and the ‘Anna’ metallic bag available for €1050.

Versace has teamed up with upmarket Los Angeles-based design duo Simon and Nikolai Haas for a new capsule collection.

The Haas Brothers’ new fashion and design pieces are available now at Versace stores in New York City, Paris, Shanghai, and Beijing as well as online. The designs riff on the classic Versace house codes including honeycomb patterns and Medusa heads.

“I am thrilled to be working with the Haas Brothers on this special curator project,” said Donatella Versace “I love how they take the codes of Versace and bring them somewhere new, pushing Versace forward into a whole other world.”

The pieces include bondage-style gold ankle boots and a honeycomb pattern clutch in gold and leather with a Medusa clasp. The same pattern also appears on a leather cuff, a hand mirror, and an iPhone 5 case, while unisex t-shirts mix up the classic references in clashing colorful prints.

Karl Lagerfeld used Choupette, his Persian cat, as a muse for his Holiday accessories collection.

A gift from Chanel model Baptiste Giabiconi, Choupette has become a pretty important figure in the Chanel and Fendi designer’s life. In fact, Choupette is so spoiled she even has her own maids, and a personal twitter account, and Lagerfeld is clearly besotted: ”there is no marriage, yet, for human beings and animals… I never thought that I would fall in love like this with a cat,” he told CNN in June this year.

Now in honor of Choupette, Lagerfeld has designed a new holiday capsule collection for his Karl Lagerfeld brand. Available from November 12, exclusively at Karl Lagerfeld stores, the line comprises a range of accessories (in the designer’s signature black and white color palette), all with a féline touch.

Pieces include iPhone and iPad cases, scarves and bags as well as a key chain and fun Lagerfeld style fingerless gloves. Prices start at €45 for the wool cap with leather whiskers and cat’s ears, and at the other end of the price scale you’ll be able to pick up a leather bag (also with cat ears) for €340.

The Parisian fashion brand has teamed up with upmarket Amsterdam-based lifestyle magazine Fantastic Man for a new series of short dance films.

Titled “Rotation,” the series is composed of five films featuring dancers popping some extraordinary choreography while wearing the latest Fall-Winter 2013 collection from Dior Homme.

Directed by Fantastic Man’s art director Jop van Bennekom, the models are dressed in Dior Homme designer Kris Van Assche’s sporty and minimalist suiting.

Choreographed by Ryan Chappell, who has worked with Janet Jackson and Kylie Minogue and Hot Chip among others, the films show off the talents of dancers Rhys Harding, Sep Dashti, Dylan Mayoral, John Jo Ink Pen, and Jai Hickling.

Nate Lowman worked with Los Angeles concept store Just One Eye to design 21 unique Converse All Star shoes. Priced at a cool $25,000 each, the limited edition shoes are lined in Italian calf leather.

The artist deconstructed one of his own paintings, which was in turn based on Willem de Kooning’s “Marilyn Monroe” (1954), turning the canvas into 8 pairs of handmade sneakers, and then using his artist’s drop cloth to construct a further 13 pairs of shoes. One of the original pairs will then be reprinted for a limited edition run of 500 pairs.

Just One Eye has also released a 20-second long teaser of film by veteran director Joe Pytka (who created music videos for Michael Jackson and The Beatles) which was inspired by the collaboration.

The shoes will be unveiled on October 25 in Paris at the FIAC art fair in the presence of the artist, with the evening also featuring a screening of Pytka’s film.

Moschino has announced Jeremy Scott as its new creative director. Scott takes over from Rosella Jardini, creative director since 1994, who succeeded the brand’s founder Franco Moschino.

Born in Missouri, USA, Jeremy Scott trained in fashion design at the Pratt Institute in New York City, before moving to Paris where he launched his namesake brand.

Returning to the US in 2002, Scott relocated his label to Los Angeles, where he has worked with sportswear company Adidas on the cult ‘Jeremy Scott for Adidas Originals’ line. The designer will have his Milan runway debut with the upcoming Fall-Winter 2014 show in February 2014.

The brand also thanked the outgoing Rossella Jardini for her 19 years with the company: “her creativity and tenacity drove the brand on and Rossella Jardini will always remain a crucial part of our history.”

Calvin Klein hosted a fashion presentation in Hong Kong on October 24 to celebrate the unveiling of the newly ‘recoded’ Calvin Klein Platinum lines for men and women.

Previously known as CK Calvin Klein, the “bridge” tier for sportswear and accessories has been rethought by the brand’s global creative director Kevin Carrigan.

The rebranding, which was announced in May this year, saw top models Liu Wen, Tilda Lindstam, and Soo Joo Park take to the runway at Shaw Studios to show off the metallic, sporty, minimalist collection.

The event was backdropped by a giant custom structural Mylar screen around 150 feet wide and 20 feet tall, and attendees included Japanese actress and model Tao Okamoto, Hong Kong model Gaile Lai, and blogger Hanneli Mustaparta (the former model helps curate the brand’s tumblr page).

The luxurious London-based fragrance company is launching a new set of core scents designed to be mixed and matched.

Le Jasmin, Tuberosa, Veti Vert, La Feuille, and Verger, the five scents which make up the ‘Perfumer’s Library’ collection, were each inspired by a different year in perfumier Lyn Harris’s development.

The collection encompasses two decades of Harris’s pioneering work in the fragrance industry, bringing back natural and traditional ingredients to her concoctions, which are inspired by shifting seasons and varied elements from the natural world.

First up, Le Jasmin is a dewy white floral with fresh Sicilian lemons and bergamot notes. The feminine Tuberosa honors the classic tuberose flower, while Veti Vert is masculine, French and fresh. La Feuille is a fruity, green chypre secent, while Verger was inspired by the crisp, earthy smells of an orchard.

Priced at £195 (approx $315) for each 100ml bottle, the ‘Perfumer’s Library’ collection by Miller Harris is set to launch on November 1.
