Launched in Awka in 2016, Digipreneur Week, formerly known as Social Media Hangout, from being a one-day gathering of social media influencers has grown to become a multi-days point of convergence for the best brains in digital entrepreneurship space covering Conference, Exhibition, Networking and Training.

With attendees from all over Nigeria and beyond, Digipreneur Week brings together different stakeholders to brainstorm on new innovations and way forward while exposing the participants to unlimited opportunities in the digital pace, improving their capacity in digital skills and encouraging effective use of the internet.

Digipreneur Week is a major activity of the the Digipreneur Hub, an initiative rooted in the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to Anambra State Governor on Youth Development and Digital Entrepreneurship aimed at providing unique platforms for self development and value reorientation; digital skills training and networking for digital entrepreneurship solutions.

With supervision from the Anambra State Ministry of Youth Empowerment and Creative Economy led by Hon Afam Mbanefo and support from Anambra State Youth Empowerment, Entrepreneurship and Creative Economy Council headed by Nicholas Okoye as well as partnership with big firms and players in the Digital Space, Digipreneur Week (DP Week) have become a "first of its kind" event in South East Nigeria.

DPWeek 2019 is the 4th edition coming after a successful outing in DPWeek 2018 in which participants were guided to leverage on the digital space which is the Next Level to create wealth and better their worth.

Themed "Take The Lead" the activities and discussions in DPWeek 2019 will focus on empowering the participants to take the lead in the ever-changing Digital Entrepreneurship space. Major firms in the digital space, IT enthusiasts and technology consumers from far and wide are expected to participate in the week-long experience.
