🗡 Shikami Nodachi (魅)
Rooted in the legacy of the nodachi—once wielded in open-field combat for its reach and dominance—Shikami embodies a more symbolic strength. The komainu-themed tsuba represents vigilance and protection, while the oni pommel channels an awe-inspiring, almost supernatural presence befitting its name.
Hand forged and carefully finished, this long, imposing blade balances raw power with refined detail, completed with deep green accents against a glossy black scabbard—restrained, watchful, and commanding.

The nodachi (野太刀) is an imposing Japanese sword, defined by its elongated blade and commanding presence, once wielded in open-field combat where reach and momentum mattered most. Shikami builds upon this legacy, pairing scale with symbolism.
Named after Shikami—the fierce, awe-inspiring spirit often associated with guardians and supernatural beasts—this nodachi features a komainu (lion-dog) themed tsuba, echoing protection, vigilance, and the power to ward off evil. At the pommel, an oni motif reinforces this duality of fear and guardianship, embodying raw strength tempered by purpose.
Hand forged from 1095 high carbon steel, oil quenched, and carefully hand polished and sharpened, the blade carries a long hi on each side, enhancing balance while accentuating its formidable length. The green lacquered genuine rayskin and matching green wrap contrast sharply against the black gloss scabbard—evoking restrained ferocity beneath ceremonial elegance.
Shikami Nodachi is not merely a long blade—it is a presence. One that stands as a guardian spirit in steel, bridging battlefield heritage with mythic symbolism.
